Hawker released a brief statement after the vote results were announced. The planemaker said it received word of the vote and "the company looks forward to all employees returning to work after Labor Day under the new contract."

"I'm very excited," she says. "I'm thrilled for Mulvane. They fought so hard. This is a thrill for the whole area." The state's casino review board voted Friday to choose Harrah's Casino and Resort off of the Kansas Turnpike near Mulvane.

That ticket -- and others sold in two other states -- matched the first five numbers for the $200,000 prize. The winning numbers last night were 15-16-24-35-and-47.

Shortly before 5 a.m., a 45-year-old man was hit by a pickup truck at the Machinist strike headquarters, on Greenwich in between Central and Kellogg. Police said the victim had parked in an overflow parking lot and was running across Greenwich Road when he was hit.
