Just a day prior to the Atmore's $240 million Wind Creek Casino and Hotel scheduled opening,  workers were still hard at work to get finished on time.

With the gaming industry having an off year in 2008, holiday crowds managed to surprise many, making casinos hopeful that 2009 may go better for them.
