A family celebration turned tragic Thursday night when a woman was fatally shot outside her home near Bonanza Road and Lamb Boulevard. Las Vegas police were called at 9:56 p.m. to 4040 Hidden Oasis Court, where the woman had been shot in the chest.

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Fitzgeralds Casino/Hotel in Reno has announced plans to close on November 30th, causing 475 employees to lose their jobs. The announcement came from L3 Development LLC, the developer that bought the site adjacent to the downtown Reno arch a year ago.
