Due to a lack of funding, there will be no horse racing at the 2012 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo. According to Flathead County Fairgrounds Manager Mark Campbell, the Kalispell Turf Club decided against horse racing this year after weighing the program’s costs and revenues “very carefully.” The state Board of Horse Racing would not provide monetary support to help offset costs, Campbell said ...

KALISPELL- The Flathead Valley saw its fair share of snowfall on Wednesday, especially during the afternoon. But the white stuff is mostly being measured in inches instead of feet. Whitefish saw the largest amount of precipitation, which led to a serious car accident just west of town.
