The Perak Turf Club is located at Racecourse Jalan Tambun, Jalan Raja Di Hilir, 30350, Ipoh, Malaysia. Although the organization has racing roots going back to 1886 when the first meet was held in the state capital, Taiping of the former Malaya, the Perak Turf Club officially came into existence in 1926 at their present location.
A new grandstand was built in 1971 and now there is room for 15,000 race fans on any given weekend. Meets are scheduled January through December with the 2014 Racing Fixture showing a total of 26 race days including 9 Saturday meets and 17 Sunday race days.
The racetrack is turfed in cow grass with a length of 1,800 meters and a width of 21 meters. There is a sand track on the infield for training and barrier trials.
The Equine Hospital at Perak Turf Club is open 6 days a week.
The other two racing venues in Malaysia are the Selangor Turf Club and Penang Turf Club.
