List of casinos in Black Hawk, Colorado (United States) Black Hawk, Colorado Casinos - legalized in 1991, limited stakes gambling in Black Hawk, Colorado has been a hit. In the beginning of the casino rush in Colorado (much like the Gold Rush) Black Hawk was the underdog of the three towns that were given legal casinos: Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek.
Today it's not quite like that. Black Hawk currently dominates the Colorado gaming scene. Central City and Cripple Creek do have some big casinos there are only one or two of them in each town. Black Hawk casinos are MOSTLY mega casinos making it have the largest draw of gamblers in Colorado.
You'll find the Isle of Capri Hotel & Casino making a hit there as well as the Riviera Black Hawk, Ameristar (Mountain High Casino), the Lodge Casino & Hotel at Black Hawk and the Mardi Gras (to name the largest casinos in town).
Although mostly covered up at this point Black Hawk, CO is in a National Historic district and holds a large portion of history during the Colorado Gold Rush. |
