Florida Lotto with Xtra & EZmatch

Florida Lotto with Xtra & EZmatch is an in-state, terminal generated lottery draw game with drawings held twice each week on Wednesday and Saturday at 11:15 p.m. The game is drawn from a single physical barrel and the event is broadcast live on television. The ball pool holds fifty-three balls (1-53) and six are drawn. Players choose six (6) numbers for each dollar played in the main game and try to guess all six numbers to win the jackpot. The top prize starts at two-million dollars ($2,000,000) and grows based on sales between each drawing if the jackpot isn't won. You must be 18 years of age or older to play any lottery game in Florida.

Florida Lotto has two supplemental games which are XTRA and EZmatch, each costs an additional dollar per play.

The XTRA feature does not apply to the jackpot, but for an additional dollar ($1) you can double (2x), triple (3x) quadruple (4x) or quintuple (5x) your winnings when you match four (4/6) or five (5/6) numbers. Matching three (3/6) numbers, regardless of the multiplier will award twenty-five dollars ($25), and matching two (2/6) will win a free ticket.

With the EZmatch option, six (6) random numbers (1-53) will appear on your ticket with values ranging from two-dollars ($2) to five-hundred dollars ($500). If any or all of the six numbers you chose to play in the main game match your EZMatch numbers, you win the prize associated with that number.

How To Play

Pick six numbers between one and fifty-three (1-53) by manually marking your slip or check the QP (Quick Pick) box to allow the terminal to choose random numbers for you. There are ten (10) panels on each slip so you can play as many panels and number combinations as you wish to purchase for $1 each.

Each panel has its own box to check for the EZmatch option so you can designate any or all panels for the added chance to win. There is a single, separate box to check for the XTRA option and it will apply to each panel you enter into the draw.

The Florida Lottery makes it easy to enter multiple games when you play Lotto. In the lower left you'll see a box for the $8 Jackpot Combo. If you buy this option you'll get an additional $2 Quick Pick and $2 XTRA entry in the Lotto draw along with $2 entries into the next available Powerball and Mega Millions nationwide lottery games.

How To Win Cash Prizes

Your lottery ticket purchase enters your six chosen numbers into the next Florida Lotto draw. Lottery officials will draw six numbers from a pool of fifty-three (1-53). If all six of your numbers match the winning numbers you win the jackpot! If more than one ticket has been sold that contains all six winning numbers, all winning ticket holders will share in the jackpot equally. To claim the full dollar amount advertised for the jackpot you will have to accept partial payments over thirty years. If you take the cash option, you will be paid about fifty-six percent (56%) of the stated jackpot amount before taxes. Most people choose the cash option.

If you choose the XTRA option you simply have to match two, three, four, or five winning numbers. Prior to the drawing, an XTRA multiplier of 2x to 5x will be chosen that will boost the normal payout for four or five number matches by a factor up to 5 times (5x)

What Are My Odds of Winning?

The overall odds of winning any prize in the main game are about one in sixty-seven (1:67.36). The overall odds of winning with XTRA are about one in seven (1:7.61) which doesn't consider the odds of winning the jackpot, as it is not part of the game option.

The odds of matching all six numbers (6/6) and winning the Florida Lotto jackpot are 1 in 22,957,480.
The odds of matching five numbers (5/6) are 1 in 81,409.50.
The odds of matching four numbers (4/6) are 1 in 1,415.82.
The odds of matching three numbers (3/6) are 1 in 70.79
The odds of matching two numbers (2/6) are 1 in 8.58.

Advanced Play

You can play the same numbers up to six-months (52 draws) in advance. Be sure to check your Advance Play ticket frequently as prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the winning draw date. Simply take your slip into a retailer or lottery office to claim your prize and ask for a continued Advance Play ticket to replace the one you turn in for validation. Your chosen numbers will remain in play for the duration of your contract. It is not possible to get refunds for Advance Play purchases, so please play Lotto wisely!
