Stayed in August. Small room, nothing special. Staff not particularly friendly. Tiny bathroom. Like a college dorm that meets a low budget motor lodge. Worried that some of the favorable reviews were planted by hotel employees trying to boost business. Seriously, look elsewhere. As an extensive traveler to Lake Tahoe for over ten years, this was the most disappointing. Much better, friendlier accommodations available than this.

Friendly staff, convenient location. But be sure to upgrade from the basic motel/motor lodge rooms if you can. That was all that was available when we booked and the room was small, spartin, and as far from luxurious as one might get. Felt like a one star room with no frills or view what so ever. Heard lots of footsteps from the room above. But given that it was dog friendly on the Tahoe south shore (more and more rare), it worked out just fine.

3 peaks was a wonderful hotel. There were nice rooms and very friendly staff. The fact that the hotel is both dog friendly and smoke free is a huge plus. They also had complementary wifi on the premesis. We brought our dog with us and he had a great time. The staff even offered him treats. The hotel itself is clean and quiet. The location is ideal for ski/snowboard trips and even a short trip to the casinos. Just down the way was a great doggie daycare service for those who take their dog around with them like I do. Perfect location and a great hotel. I will definitely return to 3 peaks for my trips to tahoe.

For the rate, the hotel was really nice and the room was big with a King bed. The heater in the room was noisy which woke us on-and-off during the night. On the 2nd night, we realized we could just use the heater in the bathroom to heat the room and turn off the heater in the room so we had a peaceful night after that. The hotel is pet friendly and we saw 3 dogs walking around the property during our stay. The dogs were so cute.
