We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February 2011. It was nothing special for sure. There are refrigerators in the rooms - no hairdryers or shampoo or alarm clocks. If you are on a budget, however this is not a bad place. I would recommend it and stay here again.

Not sure if the previous reviewers were relatives or just what. I will never stay in this hotel again let alone a hotel on Ridgewood Avenue. Renovation where??? The room was very small and musty. You need to bring your own sheets if you plan on sleeping in their beds. The headboard fell off the wall while we were sleeping. You normally get what you pay for but the condition of the hotel they should charge a cheaper price.

Here are my random observations about this hotel. Despite its outward appearance, a sincere effort is being made keep the rooms well maintained (mine was very nice & clean). Although the address is listed as "south", the hotel is located on northern route of Ridgewood Avenue. Road work being done made it hard to get to it. You have to be "buzzed" into the office; gives you an idea of the surrounding area. Discrepancy between check-out times; reservation had 11am while hotel listed it as 10am. Be sure to bring most of your personal hygiene products. Soap & bathroom tissue are the only items provided. Internet access is listed as an amenity, but it was not obvious how to access it. I tried plugging an Ethernet cable into the port located at the desk and it did not work. Also, there were no wireless access connections available. Steep step between room and outside. Overall, my stay at this hotel was a good one. So if you looking for an inexpensive hotel room in the heart of Daytona Beach for a night, then this place is recommended. However, if you want more amenities, then you'll need to stay at a hotel on the outskirts of the city.

This was a surprising reservation. I needed an economical place to stay and this fit the bill. I booked at the last minute online and the staff had my reservation almost immediately. Staff was courteous. The room was neat and clean. There was a small microwave (for popcorn) and a moderately large refrigerator (but no freezer compartment). There was internet but it was not wireless. The wired connection was faster and more dependable than wireless (take your ethernet cable).

We stayed in an America's Best Value somewhere in Georgia over Christmas, and it was awful. So we were a little wary about this one, but it has been wonderful. We are two college students that came down to Daytona with kayaks and bikes for a week long stay. The hotel is clean and roomy, with a fridge (our room didn't have a microwave as promised...the only con), comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, a counter and cabinets, and has great staff. We actually met and talked to the owners and the cleaning staff. Everyone is super friendly and the room was great. Far exceeded our expectations, and for a great price. Bonus- very close to Daytona Beach. I felt very safe in the room and didn't worry about our car, but I wouldn't want to be out at night walking the sidewalks of the neighborhood. Not really for kids, but perfect for adults.
