My kids, our declawed cat, and I stayed at this location just before Christmas. It was horrible. The "newly remodled" seems to have meant they used black marker to cover where things used to say Motel 8. I'm not kidding. The first room we were placed in was maybe doable. But when I reminded them I had a cat, and had paid the extra fee, they told me we had to relocate to a different room. This room was NASTY! It stank, the door had no latch (dead bolt) and you could only open it if you worked it just right. We had no hot water for one entire day of our three day stay, and no hot water in the morning on the others. The "breakfast" was almost empty less than an hour after it was set up and the fruit was old and gross. After complaining to the hotel about the stay, I was told it was all a mistake and they would refund me one night's stay. Guess what. Never heard from them again! And all of this was after having pain online for the entire stay over a month in advance and they still couldn't remember things like us having a cat (again, we paid an extra fee) and when we signed up we were told we would have a kichenette. Nope. It had some old turn the dial microwave and a minifridge that leaked on the stained and smelly carpet. Then there was the, one can only assume, crackhead lady who came banging on our door after 9pm one night asking for a light... Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I have stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions. Once I stayed in a non-smoking king room 103 which was very nice. The room was recently remodeled w-new carpet & a newer couch. The bed was surprisingly comfortable with soft sheets. The bathroom was very clean as well. On another occasion I stayed in a smoking king room 148 which was located in the back part of the property. The "other" guest appeared to be living there weekly & there was a lot of in and out. The smoking room wasn't quite as clean as the non-smoking but for $it was decent. Be aware though these rooms are older so they aren't sound proof. For the money though you cant find a cleaner, cheaper hotel in Douglasville. I will stay there again but will ask to be closer to the front office.
