This is a decent hotel to stay in for a couple of nights. The room was very simple--clean and comfortable. The furniture did have quite a few nicks and scratches in it; not the best in the world, but no big deal. The bathroom was clean and suitable, but take note: The shower is SMALL and the toilet flush is LOUD! But these things didn't pose any major inconvenience for us. To make our stay as comfortable as possible, we brought a foam mattress top and our own sheets, as well as some Febreeze and Lysol. The best thing about this hotel was the location! We didn't have to worry about hunting down the attractions and activities we wanted. A left turn out of the parking lot took us straight into downtown Hot Springs. Magic Springs is not too far away either. A right turn gave us the mall, movies, Lake Hamilton, grocery and discount stores, go-carts, miniature golf, and really just about ANY chain restaurant you can think of! The hotel staff was very friendly and hospitable. During check-in, we were given a nice map and directions to suggested attractions. We had plenty of towels, tissue, etc. We didn't try the breakfast or coffee. Overall, this is a good hotel for a quick getaway to Hot Springs.

The hotel reception area is very nice, but the rest of the building (multi-story) is currently being redone. Guests stay in a two story row of rooms that are furnished nicely, clean but not really big enough for the furniture. The staff was all very courteous and helpful. We slept in and didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast, but many of the guests did. Once this hotel gets the high rise portion redone, it will be a much better place to stay, but right now it is more of a clean, inexpensive place to sleep when visiting Hot Springs. They do have a pool so families will enjoy that. Next time we might spend more money and get a better place to stay. When the horses are racing at Oaklawn Park, you probably can't get reservations here since it is only a block from the track.

I made my reservation through AARP travel. It said I could get a refrigerator. The price sounded good. I am a diabetic and wanted a to keep my insulin cool.
When I pulled into the lot there wasn't one car parked in front of any rooms. They were in the process of roofing the place and the outside sign said they had just remolded. I asked to see the room before I checked in because it wasn't in the best part of town. As soon as the clerk opened the door the smell of the room turned me off immediately. I refused to spend a night there. The clerk was very rude and I would of slept in the car before staying there.
This is not a place to consider if staying in Hot Springs. -

Old hotel recently remodeled with new furnishings, paint, carpet, etc. Rooms are very small and crowded. Plumbing is noisy. Rooms smelled a little musty, but they were clean. Staff was friendly but clueless about the town. Plenty of cable TV channels, but no movies or internet access.
