Hotel was, in general, miserable experience. Hot tub was filled with foam, and was not well-maintained. Pool was inside (great in winter, terrible in summer). Breakfast was below average, even for free. Hotel charges "resort fees" for use of in-room safe (which is not disclosed, but you can fight). Rehoboth needs better hotels.

My wife and I traveled to the Rehoboth Beach AmericInn, and had at best, an average experience. We booked a suite with fireplace and jacuzzi. The bed and pillows were soft and in need of replacement, the TV (although a flat screen) was of inferior quality and was governed to a maximum volume (which we couldn't hear with the AC unit on). A light bulb was out in the room. The public spa was filled with soap. Although the check-in process was excellent, check out was frustrating. It seems the hotel charges a $1.50 ""safe"" fee per day, for protecting your valuables. When I called the manager, who was not courteous or responsive, she sarcastically said she would mail me $1.50 in the mail. I accepted--she was not a credit to the hotel at all.

This is a great hotel, especially if you bring your dog with you. Whether or not you are traveling with your canine, the hotel staff is very friendl and helpful and most seem to love dogs. The indoor pool is small but very clean. There is a hot tub as well but no sauna. I recommend the hotel highly. One negative only - if you sleep late during your stay, make sure that you ask the front desk to have your room cleaned. Ours was not cleaned because the maid staff leaves for the day at 3:00 or so and did not check our room after the early morning hours.

We liked the indoor pool & hot tub, but they need to be cleaned and updated. The pool bottom is starting to come apart. The bed was comfortable, and our in room hot tub was terrific. The place is pet friendly, but we did not hear them barking. The breakfast was good, I liked the waffles. My kids slept on the pull out bed. Overall fun but not high end.

Nice hotel for one night at beach. Clerk suggested the 2nd floor rooms, less used but the motel is in good shape, appears new. No elevators. They do allow pets if that's a problem for you. We were not bothered by any barking. Bathroom was a little small. The bathroom door was crowded with the sink area. Free breakfast was adequate, could have a little more variety but the fresh waffle iron worked well. Breakfast offered muffins, toast, limited donuts, hard boiled eggs, juices, cereal, and the waffles. I might stay there again.
