The Athens Art Hotel is 4 star elegant boutique Hotel operating in a renovated neo classical building dating back from 1930. Situated in the center of Athens; the hotel is within walking distance of the national archaeological museum; Omonoia Square and has easy access to various means of public transportation including the metro. On the main floor there is a large lobby; a cafeteria and a bar-restaurant. The hotel is very elegantly furnished and decorated with a double height foyer dominated by a vintage chandelier. The sophisticated combination of modern design furniture with precious antiques and original paintings create a very elegant unique atmosphere that one can never forget. Basement level there is a large multi purpose hall hosting Art Gallery exhibitions and conventions. The 30 guest rooms and suites are each uniquely designed and furnished one by one depending on the room shape; the traffic flow; the focal point and the lighting while the different colors; original paintings on the walls and materials like wood and Greek white marble dominate the decor inside the rooms and bathrooms. The rooms are equipped with individually adjustable temperature control; satellite; cable TV; mini bar; electronic safe deposit box for laptops; radio and taped music; digital phone system with voice mail; ISDN lines; internet access; hairdryer and a Jacuzzi in the suites. Additional information; Children age 10 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 11-16 pay EUR 15 per night for the extra bed in room with parents. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right without prior notification to cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

This hotel should be used as the model for hotel staffs all over the world. They are great. We stayed there three times over a three week period and they were great every time. They did our laundry for free and would not even take a tip. They serve free breakfast with a wide variety of choices. They have free computer service.. Their rooms are clean. They have interesting original art everywhere. I had an aperitif at a restauarant that I mentioned to the owner was dellicious and she ran out and bought me a bottle to take home. How can you beatr that? If you're looking for a boutique in Athens for a quick stay, this is the place.

This hotel has great staff, but is lacking in amenities. What it advertises is not necessarily what it offers. The restaurant is non-existent, need to order in from other places, the rooms do not have what is advertised; no radio, satelite TV, no a/c, no balcony on all rooms, they are tiny, no shower-only a bath, and is not in a convenient location. Surrounding streets are dark, dirty, littered, smelly and very busy. Was not a good experience for a mother and daughter.
