This location is also next to Kukulcan Plaza, a mile from La Isla shopping center, and 45 miles from Playa del Carmen. Hotel amenities include the onsite casino, tennis, hammocks, windsurfing, scuba diving, three swimming pools (one for kids and one with a spa tub), and theater with nightly entertainment. El Caffee has international cuisine served buffet-style, La Claraboya has a la carte seafood dinners and requires reservations, Don Quijote's Spanish cuisine is served buffet-style, Mexico Lindo has Mexican cuisine for dinner only, and Barcelo Tucancun's four bars include three swim-up bars and one lobby bar. The all-inclusive plan covers entertainment, meals, and drinks. The majority of amenities and activities at this resort are included in the room rate. All rooms feature air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephones, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, clock radios, coffeemakers, and minibars stocked with domestic beer, soft drinks, juices, and mineral water.

The first day arriving was stressful, make sure you have a taxi reserved for one. Important. The hotel was beautiful the staff was nice and helpful, expect for two male employees my.. i have never seen so much disrespect for women ever they were all over them and just cared for one thing, Never did they even interact with other couples and families just the single women. The food was outrageous wonderful shows every night buffet Wow it was awesome! Drinks nice but you could only drink so much lol. Pools nice clean staff constantly cleaning working hard, made sure you were okay. But the beach WOW it was lovely. Overall on our stay i could honestly say it was nice. We will go back but probably try a different hotel.

Just got back and wanted to let you know we had a great time with our boys (14 y/o and 17 y/o). Staff was wonderful, food good, good location, clean, close to a lot of things, etc. Only negative thing that happened was one night we didn't have hot water for showers.

bad food and drinks

Just got back on january 15, 2010. room was very nice. clean. nice bed, shower, maid service, pool....all that was excellent. but the food.....we survived....barely.

This was our third stay at Barcelo and I would have to say our best yet. Great service and the best food so far.The staff was courteous and helpfull and the overall stay was very pleasant . The show was an excellant and authentic Mayan experience and we would recommend a stay at Barcelo Tucancun.We have been at Montelemar Nicaragua,and Salinitas El Salvador and Cancun Barcelo is the best yet. This experience in beautiful Cancun has totally changed our views towards Mexico. Thanks Ken&Vilma Helock
