If you aren't travelling with kids who need pools and things to keep them entertained, this is a very affordable hotel option in Madison. The location is very close to interstates, shopping, dining, and pretty much everything you need in Madison. My only complaint about this hotel is that the free high-speed internet messed-up my friend's computer. After using her computer on the hotel's network, she had 250 registry errors when she tried to use her own home network and she still can't get the computer to work properly.

The room was nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable.The price was good, but we were disappointed that we could not rent movies on the TV in our room. Breakfast selection was good and the staff was helpful.

If you only want a clean place to crash for the night, the hotel is fine, but I'd definitely recommend going with one of Marriott's cheaper brands. The coffee pot was broken, the sink was clogged, there was a hole in the bedspread, and if you're on the first floor you'll hear everything that goes on above you. But the place is very clean otherwise, the bathroom had no problems. It's incredibly small, the bathroom is so small the sink is outside. I wanted to get work done at the hotel while I waited for my flight, but it's really not the kind of place that makes you want to hang around. The breakfast is minimal and the "free" wireless is very slow. It turns out if you want wireless at a usable speed you have to "upgrade" which, of course, will cost you. Also, it's very easy for anyone from outside to just walk into the hotel and go wherever they like. It's nowhere near UW and not all that close to the airport either.
