This is definitely not a 3-star hotel as they claim - a mediocre motel at best and should not be asking more than $*/night - and not double that! The rooms are extremely small, to go to the toilet you almost have to step into the bath tub to close the door. Very old, most rooms are not renovated at all. It is very humid inside and the carpets are slightly wet and smelly. The airconditioning is old and loud, and will keep awake even the best of sleepers. The breakfast was terrible, very little choice and virtually nothing healthy or filling - plain bagels, cream cheese, sugary cereal and sweet yogurt. No eggs or good whole wheat breads. One out of 3 mornings there was fresh fruit - apples and oranges. Beach is quite a bit away (and the walk is not the most beautiful I've seen - passing the back entrances to restaurants and businesses...) and if you have small kids, you need to take the shuttle. Wouldn't recommend and will not stay again. Additionaly, the included "free" internet did not work the entire time we were there (3 days).

This was our first time @ Hilton Head but it won't be our last and we will stay here again. This is a nice hotel for the money and it is not far at all from the beach. You can rent bikes, go to the beach, eat, and shop without ever having to get in your car. Our room was nice, and aside from a few roudy kids on our last night we had no complaints.

Great place. Location, location, location! Less than a mile from the beach. Easy to get in and out. In the middle of restaurants. Less than a mile from the Piggly Wiggly (because who doesn't love the Piggly Wiggly!). Refrigerators in all the rooms? Uh, love it! Continental breakfast? Almost as good as going out for breakfast. They don't skimp on it: make your own waffles, Lenders bagels, Philly cream cheese, Royal Cup coffee, real orange juice, 4 or 5 different kinds of cereal, and tons of fruit. Again, I'll be back!

Overall an okay stay. Clean but not exceptionally decorated rooms. Very small. Staff were very nice. Nice walk to the beach. Close to alot of very good restaurants. I would stay again if only for a couple of nights but if wanted longer, I would stay somewhere else.

We went 4th of July weekend when everywhere was insanely expensive, and Beachwalk provided a great deal for the money. Provides a shuttle to the beach, but walkable without small children. Very close to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Would stay again, perfect for a weekend trip.
