  Custer is a good location to explore the southern part of the Black Hills, especially Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and the surrounding scenic highways. Deadwood, Lead, spearfish and even Devil's tower in Wyoming are easily accessible from this location also, The hotel is easy to find and very comfrotable. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and there were plenty of restuarants to choose from in the area. The staff was very friendly and other than missing the waste baskets the first day, our house keeping staff were very good. When we requested 4 regular coffee packs, instead of 2 regualr and 2 decaf, they suppplied our room with about a half dozen regular coffees. The location was nice and convenient and while the main hiway was close, there was no excessive traffic noise. We could hear some of the noise from other guest in the parking lot and on the balaconies, but otherwise it was very quiet and restful. We were there to explore the beautiful Black HIlls, so we came back late, but got up late and rested, so it suited us just fine.

  Great breakfast and service. I dont like the fact that the rooms are outdoor access only. Need to walk outside to go to pool and front desk. Rooms are also a little too small.

  We stayed 3 days, our room was large and comfortable, a bit away from main part of hotel, but nice, open room was really nice,(could use a bigger tv) ...

  We stayed 3 days, our room was large and comfortable, a bit away from main part of hotel, but nice, open room was really nice,(could use a bigger TV) coffee 24/7 staff very friendly/helpful, close to everything in are internet great. highly recommend.

  the staff was very helpful with advice on where to go and what to see and how far thing were (depending on how many buffalo you run into along the way). the pools fabulous. the room was clean and huge. there was some open side walk to play ""4-square."" eventhough it's set on a hill it's very easy to get in and out of (with a big car or van). it's a short walk to downtown and an easy drive to anywhere you mite wanna go in the black hills area. of course the BW breakfasts are over the top.
