The room was clean and well appointed. Parking was convenient. Breakfast was both good and ample. The rates were reasonable. We needed to secure an item in the hotel safe, began trying when we checked in on Friday afternoon, and were never able to do so by the time we checked out on Sunday morning. We spoke with the assitant manager who spoke with the manager, and asked several times, but left clearly understanding that's not a service the hotel provides. However we were never told that by any hotel staff. They didn't know and didn't find out. It was a significant inconvenience to have to carry the item with us, at some risk, always. We would hope a remedy would be provided for future guests. The handling of this did not match the other good qualities of the hotel, primarily because no one got back to us about it -- all the effort was started and followed by us, and by us only. We finaly gave up asking, but left disappointed.

Third time I've stayed here and always a good experience. Front desk staff very helpful in telling about the area and even found me hot water for tea late at night. Pool clean and enjoyable. Beds comfy and towels fluffy. Hotel is well located for easy access from freeway, but still quiet. Wonderful hot breakfast to help you start the day of right.

This Best Western is just okay. There are, I think, three buildings on site. The lobby building looks nice, like it has been recently remodeled, but we were given a room in one of the other buildings. This building had not been updated since the late 70's or early 80's! There was no elevator (the staff did not inform us of this inconvenience), the lounge chair was old and frayed, the bathroom sink area was very small, the room dark and dreary, although it was clean. If you want to use the indoor pool, you must walk to the lobby building - uncomfortable in the cold. The front desk staff was very friendly. The maid staff was knocking on doors to clean well before 9:00 a.m. They should check with the front desk to see who has checked out before waking people up. The breakfast was standard - they need to add at least one more waffle maker - there were 7 or 8 people waiting to make waffles.

I would rate both of our stays as a 5 star. The staff was great and helpful, the rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. If our travels brings us through Pocatello, we will be staying here!
