This Days Inn is comparable to other Days Inns. It isn't particularly elegant, but it is a great place to spend an overnight when traveling between Florida and the Northeast. The carpet in the room had see better days and included a few splotches of something that we had to tip-toe around and the bathroom toilet seat had a habit of snapping down, but this place is not particularly expensive, The room was otherwise clean and the twin double beds were comfortable. Shower was fine. The cable television worked OK. The surrounding area had at least three inexpensive restaurants within walking distance, including a Mexican restaurant in the same building. This is all right off of I95 We didn't try out the pool because it was February but it looked like it would be fun in the summer. The desk clerks were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast in the AM was the usual coffee and cereal, continental style cuisine, ... complimentary USA Today newspaper. We had our pooch with us and they charged a very reasonable $10.00 pet fee. That's 'pet friendly'. Plenty of room to walk your dog out back. This Days Inn was fine as an overnight interlude to a long, long drive up the East coast. We would stop here again.

We had an overall okay experience. The hotel was old but clean - nothing fancy. Beds were good. The breakfast area was not clean. Because of the location close to Richmond, the price was good. We were treated well at the front desk and would stay again.

We have stopped here many times on our way to and from the South. Location is right off I-95 with an easy off, easy on. There are several restaurants close by and a gas station and convenience store. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced.

The Days Inn is a very good choice in Emporia, it is right off the exit and very accesible. The hotel is close to all the restaurants. Our experience with the Days Inn has been pleasurable, at check in we were greeted with a smile and were accomodated for our specail requests. The rooms are clean and spacious, our room had a micro-fridge as we requested which is very helpful. The furnishings were fairly nice and standard, the hotel is a very good value with a free breakfast included in the room. The breakfast had some delicious waffles in addition to the other standard items. We have stayed at many of the other hotels in the area and enjoyed the Days Inn the most. I would recommend this to fellow travelers looking for convenience and value.
