I stayed there for 4 days for business. My wife joined me for two of the days and visited with old friends in the area.The room was clean, not too small, and in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. It was everything I needed with no hassle. We had an inside-access room with easy access to the lobby, which was nice. It felt a little like a big hotel instead of the cramped feeling of some small hotels.This isn't a luxury hotel, but it meets or exceeds all of my expectations for a small, inexpensive hotel. I thought the cost was reasonable, but the final bill was more than $* less than I expected and I don't even know why. You can't beat that.

room was very hot when we checked in, and air conditioning didn't work. pool was cold and hot tube had problems too. room was plain, nothing special but comfortable staff did fix air by evening ckeck in smooth noisy at times located in a very busy intersection

We just planned a quick weekend getaway and were very pleased with the Best Western Lawrence. We were in the main building with inside hallways. There is also a seperate building with outside doors which we would not have liked so well. Continental Breakfast was very nice. Room was big, clean and very comfortable. Had the hot tub all to our selves.

My husband and I stayed in this Best Western with our puppy and woke up with itchy little red bites all over our bodies. Luckily our Puppy was in the kennel most of the time, so she wasn't affected. We even found a dead bed bug on top of the sheets. Bed Bugs ARE REAL especially in this Best Western Hotel in Lawrence, KS. I had bites on my face, all over my arms, legs and torso.There were even bites on my fingers and feet. No, we didn't feel them biting us in the night, but we felt the after effects that morning and even several weeks later. Best Western gave us our room for free after I brought the dead bed bug to the front desk, but offered no other compensasion. I had to spend quite a bit of money on ani-itch creams and anti-inflammatory drugs to help with the swelling and itching. The swelling was significant in both my Husband and I. It has been hard to sleep at night with the constant itching. As if Bed Bugs wasn't enough, during the night it sounded as if some of the other guests were having a party. It was extremely loud and calling the manager didn't help matters. I will never stay at this Best Western again.

The room we were given was really nice. The sofa bed turned out to be an additional queen size bed in an adjoining alcove with its own t.v. The staff was so friendly and helpful, we did not want for anything.
