Had to make an overnight visit to Tucson from Mesa, Arizona. Didn't really use the hotel for much more than a place to sleep, but it served the purpose. The suite was a laid out a bit funny with the commode and shower located off the kitchenette around the corner and down a bit from the sinks and mirror in the dressing/bedroom area. Otherwise the suite was roomy, comfy and clean.

The walls were paper-thin. We had to listen to everything from a woman coughing all night long for 2 nights on one side, to normal conversations from the room on the other. Had a biker fixing his Harley outside our room until 3 a.m., when he decided to start her up and take her for a ride to be sure that he had done a good job. Toilet would not flush, although they were very prompt in sending the assistant manager over to not fix it. While the bed was comfortable enough, the general condition of the furniture, carpets, and appliances is shabby and dated. Paint was peeling from the kitchen ceiling, where the a/c and heating units were located (just over the 2-burner "stove"). Went to the free breakfast on Sunday and could not get in the door of the tiny restaurant, as the place was jammed beyond capacity. I think I even saw the fire marshal in there having a cup of coffee with some of the guests. On the plus side, The Village Inn has a restaurant almost on the property, and they served an excellent breakfast in no time. Let me just say that unless you enjoy staying in truck stops, look elsewhere.

We attempted to check into the hotel at 2:00 PM and were turned away... no big deal we were early. Came back at 9:00 PM and checked in. When we got into the room it was 100 degrees inside the room! No joke, it was 100 degrees. The A/C unit took all night to cool down the room. It was miserably hot. I called the desk clerk who told me that "this is Tuscon and it's hot here". I told herthat I didn't expect 70 degrees on check in, but this was ridiculous. No offers or suggestions. I recommend another hotel in the summer.

Stayed 2 nights, there for business so didn't hang around the room at all. Room was nice & quiet, tons of cable TV channels to choose from, very comfortable, clean, and the kitchenette was great - loved having the frig. Breakfast was hot + cold and complimentary - and had so much to choose from. Included eggs, browned potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit (lots of variety), milks & juices, and cereal & muffins. The only complaint was that the shower head wasn't good - either pelted me in the "massage stream" setting, or came out in 16 different directions, and was uncomfortable either way. Water was nice & hot instantly. Parking was ok; they seemed pretty full & it was a walk to the 2nd floor. Overall, very nice, great value, and would definitely stay again!
