This hotel is a mess. Maybe it was 4 stars once, I can see that, but no more. It is in major need of an overhaul. All the amenities are really old, run down even. It's covered in weeds, not maintained, and even the staff seems annoyed with management and is happy to tell you about it. The rooms are stale and have that mildewy smell. The towels are hard, the pool never had towels, and the tennis courts haven't been tended too in ages. The food was cold and not even good. This is like an old movie star who thinks she's a starlet, pathetic!

I would definitely stay at Bishop's Lodge again! This place is awesome! The staff is friendly and nice, the room was just what we needed for 3 people, food was great, pool and hot tub were enjoyable, and the views are wonderful. We sat on the veranda and watched the sunset over food and drinks. It just does not get much better than this place! And we were not that far from downtown Sante Fe. Just far enough out to enjoy the countryside and an easy drive in for activities.

08/09/2009Some aspects were nice, like horseback riding and pool, but otherwise terrible attention to detail - room needed an overhaul. broken furniture, cobwebs, coffee missing from room, trash in parking lot ...
Some aspects were nice, like horseback riding and pool, but otherwise terrible attention to detail - room needed an overhaul. Broken furniture, cobwebs, coffee missing from room, trash in parking lot for 4 days as staff blindly walked by. Staff goofed at check-in and also on paperwork without apologizing. Would not stay again.

Wonderful place
09/14/2008The campus is very nice, especially the pool area. i do not really appreciate the $15 per adult fee for using the amenities, but other than that, a good place.
