NO MORE THAN A 3 STAR - FEB 09

THIS HOTEL COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER IF THEY WOULD JUST PUT SOME MONEY INTO FIXING THE THINGS THAT ARE BROKEN. WE HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS WHEN WE GOT THERE BECAUSE OF THE THINGS BROKEN IN ALL 3 ROOMS WE HAD BOOKED. THEY CHANGED OUR ROOMS AND THE NEW ONES WERE BETTER BUT STILL HAD ISSUES. THE POOL AREA IS GREAT. THE RESTAURANTS ARE GOOD. THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE DO THE BEST THEY CAN WITH WHAT THEY HAVE. DO NOT EXPECT ANY WATER SPORTS, THERE ARE NONE. THE GOLF IS A JOKE, THEY HAVE TO CUT THE GRASS BEFORE IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO USE IT. STOCKED REFRIGERATORS IN YOUR ROOM (IF YOU CALL 3 BOTTLES OF WATER STOCKED) COFFEE MAKERS BUT NO COFFEE OR CREAMERS. THE ALCOHOL IS NOT PREMIUM IT IS GENERIC. ONLY 1 KIND OF BEER. THE CASINO IS WORTH MISSING. AT LEAST HALF OF THE MACHINES WERE BROKEN. WE HAVE STAYED AT ALL INCLUSIVES BEFORE AND HAVE BEEN ON NUMEROUS CRUISES AND THIS RANKS AT THE BOTTOM. RATING IT A 3 STAR IS PROBABLY BEING GENEROUS BUT DUE TO THE POOL AREAS AND THE EFFORT OF THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE THEY MAKE IT A 3 STAR. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT OR STAY THERE AGAIN BUT THERE WERE SOME GOOD POINTS.

im from montreal, quebec... and i just visited puerto plata on September 14th,2008.. i went with my 15yr old daughter and we had a great time.. the people are always smiling and friendly and give great service... we stayed at the superior room which was comfortable and the price i paid was fanatastic...i might return with my boyfrien in januray.

Breezes is overall an okay place to stay if its your last resort! The rooms were very dirty with bugs everywhere. The toilet didn't flush, the cable didn't work and the shower was broken. When we contacted the front desk they did nothing about it. The service was very bad especially at the front desk. The only exception to this was the animation team who does a great job. The best part of the resort was the pool and the animation team. The beach was a disappointment. Oh and the food was bad. There were a few cats that would roam around the eating area. Needless to say it was a bad experience. I am not very picky at all, I'm used to traveling to underdeveloped countries but this resort was bad. I don't understand all of the good reviews considering this place is truly a dump.

Our trip was more then we expected for the money. Rooms were very clean, grounds and the staff was so attentive and friendly. The food was very good and we just loved feeding the ducks that are on the premises. Pool was awesome and being able to get a late night snack and a cold beer was fantasic. We heard from another guest that there were many improvements made from last year. I can't wait to visit again. Thanks for amazing trip.
