  Just finished a three night stay at the Bridgewater Hotel and was quite satisfied. It's in a great location downtown on 1st Avenue directly across the street from the Chena River (Fairbanks is rather small so "downtown" is a generally quiet area). There is a nice park near-by with a pleasant waking path along the river. Several good restaurants, an Italian right next door, Greek, Thai and American two or thee blocks away. They have their own good cafe on-site. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport and the Alaska Railroad depot. This is quite a savings as taxis in Fairbanks are expensive. The staff is very nice and helpful. They were happy to make reccomendations on sites to see or where to eat. Room was fair sized, clean and comforable. The hotel is only open in the Summer - Mid-May to Mid-September. If I ever return to Fairbanks, I would stay at the Bridgewater again.

  This is a nice hotel located in downtown Fairbanks. The rooms are small and not fancy...but the perfect location if you want place to stay near down town. You are within walking distance to several restaurants and downtown attractions. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.

  Clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in downtown fairbanks. italian restaurant next door is very good. comfortable lobby with internet access computer, coffee and free newspaper. beautiful flowers in front.
