This was a very quaint hotel that was over 400 yrs. old. We had a deluxe room (huge) that had an unbelievable view. Waking up in the morning with the view and the church bells ringing was priceless. The bathroom was extremely nice and marble everywhere. The service was excellent and the free breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful and delightful. Great location, too. Would definately stay again.

The location of the Hotel Bristol is absolutely perfect - convenient from the Old Town of Salzburg and an easy walk across the Markartplatz Brigde, but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle and next door to the quaint and beautiful Mirabell Gardens. Although it is a historic hotel, it has been fairly well kept up and the service is excellent (not stuffy at all). The rooms are traditionally decorated with a separate bedroom and living area. The rooms were nicely sized and the bathroom was large as well. Our room had a small balcony and was spacious enough to accommodate 3 adults comfortably. The breakfast buffet (it was included in our stay) was delicious, with selections ranging from eggs and sausages to smoked salmon and croissants. We also enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar area, which was uniquely decorated with intimate seating areas with sofas and overstuffed chairs. Internet service is available for free, although it's standing room only in what appeared to have previously been a telephone booth. We stayed ini Salzburg for 3 days and had ample time to take in the sights. We enjoyed the Mozart dinner at the Stiftskeller St. Peter (3-course dinner with a delightful quartet and singers), the Sound of Music tour and a visit to Hitler's Eagles Nest through Panorama Tours (highly recommend their tours and service), as well as walks through Old Town and a visit to Hohensalzburg Fortress. The visit to Mozart Wonhaus was the only disappointment, but we made up for that with afternoon tea and world famous Sacher torte, as well as drinks at the rooftop terrace at the Hotel Stein. Even if you're not a fan of Mozart or The Sound of Music, Salzburg is a wonderful place to visit! Enjoy!
