Great for overnight

I checked into the Cody, Wyoming Budget Host Inn on Saturday, June 26, 2010. When I went to check-out, I discovered that the inn’s management had my vehicle towed! Apparently I had parked in the wrong space, but the management had made no effort to contact me in my room to ask me to move the vehicle. This cost me a towing charge of $*! And the final insult was when the night clerk threatened to “make things very ugly for me very fast” if I didn’t stop expressing my indignation at the stupidity of their actions to have my vehicle towed. His statement was a clear and present threat to my safety. I was simply stunned by all of this and if I’d had a cell phone with me I would have called the police at that moment for his threatening statement to me. In all the thousands of places that I have stayed at over many years of domestic and international travel, both for business and personal reasons, I have never had such a rude, vicious, thoughtless and threatening hotel experience such as this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

The good news about this place is that it's cheap. Just remember you get what you pay for. Rooms are ok, but dated. Only get a few local tv stations. There is no breakfast. Thought there was no hot water for showers, but later found out that the valve was switched so the higher you turned it, the colder it got. Staff was nice and rooms were very clean. This is a great place to stay if you're looking to save some money, and don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel.

This is a mixed review. The staff is helpful and the room is good sized and the bed comfortable, but the room had a very weird smell. It is a no-smoking facility and I couldn't really identify what the smell is. The rooms are all on the ground floor which is something I'm not really comfortable with. The bathroom could do with some improvements. There is no hair dryer nor flat iron/ironing board. Breakfast is really very basic (just bagels and coffee), not even any juice offered.
