I have been coming to this Motel for years. Snice the Last year, this place has been made nicer. I see new card locks on doors and rooms have better furnishings. The Motel is quiet and pleasant to stay in. I happened to see these reviews and wanted to give my input.

I was here for the March Nascar Race with my 3 friends. I had a 2 Queen bed room. The rates were good and the rooms were clean. I also found their staff very friendly and the rooms were adequate. We never had to ask for anything. They had a good breakfast. I am benchmarking this place to a place that wanted to rip me off and also was not good. Found the place packed on race day and all the guests I talked to were pleased to be staying here. I already made reservations to come back for the next race.

This hotel smelled like mold. The water pressure was non-existent, the heater in the room kept kicking off the breaker and both the refrigerator and microwave in the room was left unplugged so they both smelled pretty bad. The lobby was part of the owners home and the smell of curry cooking was overwhelming. I was late from my meeting in Marion, so I received a number of calls threatening to put all of my luggage out on the curb and to charge me for an extra day for the extra 1 hr. I came back quickly to find that they had NO guests waiting for the room or for any of their other rooms.. I found this place rude and unacceptable and will never return.

I pulled into this Motel on one rainy night. The young man who checked me in was very professional and prompt. I had a clean, well kept king size bed room. Good quality linen and TV's. Clean bed sheets. Clean Bathroom. And I had hot coffee and Donuts in the morning before leaving. I had a very decent rate and got a great room. Seems to be newly renovated as I saw a lot of work getting done around The Motel. I recommend it highly.
