hotel room was very run down and had water stains on ceiling, we arrived during a snow storm and were shocked to find out that they didnt plow their parking lot nor did they shovel in front of room doors, we were forced to pull other guests out of their parking lot due to lack of plowing. the pool is large but hallways were freezing and even though they had signs for pool towels we found none in pool area and were forced to walk through freezing hallways wet with little children. we lost power which also means heat and we had a 2 month old and they were less than sympathetic at check out saying none of it is their fault. being a frequent visitor to cadillac i would never stay there again, horrible hotel and not even a good price.

This was one of the worst rooms ever. It was really run down. The check in girl took forever and there was nobody in front of me. There was also people hanging out in front of the hotel at midnight when we checked. Then we get to our room and it had 3 locks. 2 of which didn't even work or hook into the door. Why so many locks? Then the toilet was so short that I had to get on my knee to flush it (and I am only 4' 10"). The worst part of all was the bed. The mattress was so bad that it had a huge sag in the middle. When I woke up the next morning my back was killing me. At check out, I informed the front desk of the bed issue and she proceeded to say nobody ever complains about that room. She also said that I got a really good deal on it for only $* when it normally goes for $*. There is no way I would stay at the place again. Pay a little more for the other hotels. It will be worth it.

This is an older facilty and the age shows in some ways. The bathroom was small and worn but the room overall was neat and clean. It is basic motel accomodations so all you people who like fancy resort rooms will be disappointed. But we got a good price for a couple nights of peaceful rest. The restaurant was good and not expensive. The breakfast was basic but I like free biscuits and gravy anyday. The people were friendly. The pool area was very warm but that is good for cold Michigan January days. It looks like a very good place to stay for ice fishing and snowmobiling since it is right on the water. Two ski resorts are nearby for skiers.
