I have never in my life stayed anywhere quite like this, and I've lived overseas twice! Continuing with the review of the fellow travelerer from the first weekend in April 2009...... The review I read, which prompted me to choose this place, said perfect for the business traveler.(Dec 08) That's a stretch. Our room had no clock or phone. So forget a wake up call. I doubt that this place has seen a new coat of paint anytime in the last 20 years. The carpets had holes from years of cigarette burns. There was no ice machine, but I doubt that you'd want to use it based on the rustyness of the water coming from the pipes. There was no maid service. The trash from our first night in the place was still there when we left. There beds were never made from the morning when we left. The towels were so thread bare I doubt you could have dried dishes, let alone your body. I wouldn't know, I was too intinidated to even brush my teeth. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

As long as i have a warm clean place to sleep at night, i don't care though. This is where everything falls apart. After maneuvering through the dilapidated building, we finally found room 219. It was much worse than i could have imagined.... There is a musky/moldy odor to the air, if you have allergies you are going to be in trouble. On the wall was a giant piece of plywood painted white to cover some kind of ""renovation"" they must have done on their own. One spot of the floor felt like it would fall out from under me, probably because of the outline of particle board i could see through the carpet. There were holes punched in most of the doors. We found a rusty razor blade in the window sill. Basically every piece of furniture had been abused to the point of barely being functional. The bathroom.... Oh the bathroom. The first thing i noticed was that the water in the sink never turned off and was black when i fist turn the knob to on. We ended up getting flip flops to use int he shower due to how dirty it was. On the plus side, the toilet flushed and the shower had hot water. The best part of the weekend was when my friend cut his thumb on a piece of glass on the comforter of his bed. Checking out of the Canton Inn at 8:00AM EST 04/04/2009 was one of the best moments of my life. btw, a tshirt makes a good pillowcase in a pinch.
