As a central Arkansas native I'm familiar w/The Capital based on their reputation as well as having stayed there. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms/beds are really comfortable, and the entire hotel is very elegant, in addition to being a historic landmark. (It opened in 1870, and has always been popular for the AR political scene.) Not long ago they did a major remodeling, so the guest rooms have had a facelift, yet still keep the traditional style of the hotel, which I really like. You can definitely get a good night's sleep in their comfy beds. Ashley's is well-known for their outstanding Sunday brunch, and you should really eat at least one meal in the Capital bar and grill. In addition to some great specialty drinks the food is also really good. They have the best blue cheese burger I've ever had, hands down.
