The Chalet de L'Ours is a timber building with carved details situated in the village of Les Arcs 2000, 150 metres from the ski slopes of the Rhone Alps. The 25 apartments are spread over five floors and have light modern decor and furnishings. All apartments open on to balconies and have separate sitting areas with satellite television, kitchens with cookware, dishes, microwaves, refrigerators, tea and coffee making facilities, at least two bathrooms, and direct dial phones and Internet connections.

After a day on the slopes guests can relax with a sauna or a swim in the indoor pool, located in the nearby Residence Chalet Altitude, 20 metres away. The Crazy Fox Bar serves a wide variety of beers in a themed Irish pub setting. Public areas have high speed Internet connections and for those arriving by car garage parking is available nearby for a fee. There is a limited hours front desk and the residence offers ski storage. The village of Les Arcs 2000 is linked by cable car to La Plagne, which features 420 kilometres of pistes, including the Aiguille Rouge glacier above Arc 2000 and the Bellecote glacier in La Plagne. The town of Bourg Saint Maurice is 30 kilometres from the residence and the city of Chambery is 180 kilometres away. The Bourg Saint Maurice railway station is 30 kilometres from the hotel and Geneva International Airport is 210 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 140 minutes.
