Hotel was a little pricey, but a very nice place. Our room was clean and large. View of the harbor and downtown Charleston was outstanding. Outside pool was very nice. Nothing but positive comments for the staff they were great. Shuttle service provided by the hotel was a great service.

I booked through Travel Website with a special rate (if you call $* a inexpensive rate) for a 2 day stay in 3/11. It was a resort with a good location so I did not mind paying for a luxury experience- WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! It started from the second I arrived. Because I’m limited on characters, you can see the full review on some of the other review sites. Arrival 2:00PM - I presented desk clerk her with the Travel Website confirmation page at which point she informed me that "THAT' room is not ready. She did however inform me that with a upgrade payment, a room may be ready immediately. Since my room was not ready I informed the young lady that I was going to use the gym while I waited for the room and of course paid the resort fee., There is no gym on site - it is 3.5 miles away at a community called I’ON and it has a lot to be desired. No towels at this gym even thought I was told there were - NICE Check in time 4PM - Room was not ready until 4:21PM as captured on my cell phone logs. The Room was atrocious., beat-up, dirty with a tiny outdated bathroom. Ancient TV with terrible picture. Dirt, mold and mildew imbedded in the tile around the tub. No soap in the dispenser at the sink (for 2 days) All while looking at the parking lot! Day 2, I went to the lobby around 10:15 for coffee at the coffee station by the front desk to find both empty. Front desk person starred at me and did nothing. Nice location but absolutely not worth staying at. Don't be fooled about this place - stay elsewhere.

Spent a long weekend there (1/21 thru 1/24) very nice place. Loved my room. It is quite this time of year. I made no demands on the staff, but they seemed friendly and ready to help. We ate in the Reel Bar one night. It was a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly bartender that took good care of us. We don't drink but were right at home with the few peolpe that were drinking. They did let us down on the bonefire. They told us there was a bonefire on the beach saturday night. After several people asked the bartender about it he called someone and they said they would get somebody to get it going. They never did! I intend on staying here next time I return to the area.
