Already in the middle ages, a family of nobility wasthe owner of the castle. It was renovated in 1850 theowner at that time created a roof timber constructionin the form of a chalet. From 1937 the beautifulestate served as a monastery. When the clergy left itbehind it was left empty until the international artcenter and ch teau de raay established themselves onthe old and unique estate in 1999. In four years time,and with great international lan, the castle and itsinterior were totally restored, down to the smallestdetails.
