December 2010 I was able to stay at this hotel for 2 nights and I really enjoyed myself. It is a little older but I couldn't complain since my bathroom was practically new and had been recently renovated.(Could still smell fresh paint a little.) The staff was extremely helpful and the doorman was very nice. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if my carpet, and bed linens were a little newer. Unfortunately, I found this hotel to be quite far from most activities on Bourbon and Decatur(at least 9 blocks away). If you're looking for a little peace and quite it's the perfect hidden Gem. But If you don't mind a little noise and are looking to get into some action I would recommend a hotel closer to the main strip.

This is a great place to stay! Very close to everything, clean, and very friendly staff. Valet parking lot is less than 1/2 block away! We will stay here again. We stayed with our kids, but it is great for couples too.

We come to New Orleans often and this is the only place we have stayed for the last 6 years. But the last couple of times the staff hasn't been pleasant if you dislike your job keep it to yourself at least be pleasant to customers they are the reason you have a job. Also I can not believe how much the rooms have gone down from paper peeling of the walls to toilets shaking when you sit or a/c not working correctly in the room. My husband and I usually tell people about this place but I don't think we will be telling anyone about it for a while. Patti

Yes, it is a ""quaint"" hotel. I was on the first floor so I did not have a patio. My ""view"" was of the alley with garbage cans and standing garbage water. Yes, they do have secure off-street parking...for SIXTEEN DOLLARS A NIGHT (Free for AAA members). The bellman was nice; I gave him a $10 tip. Circumstances came up that did not allow me to spend the night so I can't say if the nightlife interferes with your sleep.

The hotel is quite outdated, but perfect in any other meaning. Personnel is quite helpful and the location is unbeateble form the prize range. Check for the prize before going, cause I understand that in high season they charge you a rocket
