When I checked in close to the dinner hour, the woman at the clerk asked if I had any dinner plans, and I told her no. She then recommended a restaurant and gave me a map with it's location. She also drew the route on the map for how to get there. It was wonderful to have someone provide some interest and guidance.

Had a great time in this clean, well-managed hotel. I chose to stay at this hotel because of the new saltwater pool and my family had such a great time I had to write a review. The pool was perfect for my 2 year old because it has a large area that was 1 foot some odd inches deep so she was able to walk around on her own and the deep end has a ledge she liked to stand and walk on. The entire hotel was very clean. I used to manage hotels, so the first thing I do when I get to my room is check the cleanliness. This room was truly immaculate! Not a single stain on the sheets or any of the FOUR pillows on either bed. Restroom was perfectly clean, no dust on furniture, real glasses and coffee cups clean, remote and phone intact and in working order. Every staff member was always in uniform and they were all very pleasant and helpful. Front desk was very knowledgeable about the area and helped direct us to fun attractions. Breakfast is wonderful – hot and free! Upon check in I was given all the information I needed without having to ask. I was also able to check in one hour early. We stayed on the first floor and had access through the sliding glass door in our room to a nice little outdoor courtyard with tables. The hotel sits right off I-25 so it was easy to find and an easy starting point for all our outings. I checked out feeling like I found a diamond in the rough in Colorado Springs, I drove home knowing I got a great deal for my money and I will be staying at this hotel again and again.

Finding hotels during USAFA Parents' Weekend is a challenge. After staying in various less-than-satisfactory hotels over the years, we decided to try the Clarion. The room was just what we needed. It was a suite of generous size, if not a bit unusually shaped (perhaps because it was in a corner of the building), with a fold-out sofa bed and a king. That isn't really the source of the problem. On one of our outings, I noticed several signs in the parking lot, to the effect that "management is not responsible for damage," but thought nothing of it. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way. On Sunday morning, we found that the rear window of my son's pickup truck was smashed. The damage seemed malicious because there clearly was nothing of value in the truck. Perhaps tainted from this experience, we began to notice that the hotel sits next to a residential area that may have seen better economic times. One could argue that this sort of thing might happen anywhere, but the signs in the parking lot suggest that the hotel's management is aware of the security problem.

We stayed at this hotel for one full week. The entire staff was excellent. They were friendly, professional, helpful and just made us feel at "home". The facility is spacious and beautifully decorated, the rooms are comfortable, beds were comfortable with good pillows (pillows usually have something to be desired at most hotels). Services and amenities were everything we needed. From computers with printers, faxing and copying. The hot breakfasts included with the stay were delicious. The indoor pool was beautiful and a joy to use almost everyday. The location is perfect being walking distance from downtown Colorado Spings and close driving distance to most attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clarion. Thank you Andrea, Tadz, Brandon, Shannon, Toni and Darlene for making our stay so enjoyable. And our complements to the chefs for great meals and who took the time to come out and meet the guests. We will be back.

stayed 7 days over christmas 2008. Had the staff almost to ourselves. T shared valuable info about nearby eateries, helped us know where to shop. M catered to our breakfast needs as if we were his only clients. Hotel is within walking distance of the Tejon St restaurant area and the Monument valley riverwalk. Ok so we were biased. the Springs is home for us and we felt very comfortable in the downtown atmosphere. Will stay again.
