2 fashion Is in Omonia Square and is on the Seedy Side at night BUT No one bothers you. The location is very easy access to the metro (literally right in front of the escalator) Easy walk to Monastaraki and the night life area Also the tour bus stops right outside for 12 euro. My air conditioning was Marginal at best and could be a deal breaker mid summer,otherwise I would stay again

Classical Grand O Hotel ? Search for something else
04/03/2008It is obvious that i cannot write a review for a hotel which is not operating for a few months now!!!
fortunately i did make a call to confirm ...It is obvious that i cannot write a review for a hotel which is not operating for a few months now!!!
Fortunately i did make a call to confirm my reservation and i took the information that i had to stay in another hotel of the same branch a few meters away the Classical Athens Acropole Hotel.
Unfortunately it was a lower than Classical Grand O Hotel class.
It was a 5 stars hotel also but it was an old one and believe me i cannot understand the way some hotels in Greece are receiving the stars.
For me it should be no more than a 3 1/2 stars hotel.
The same branch owns a very good hotel nearby , the Baby Grand Hotel , which is a 3 minutes walking from Classical Grand O Hotel.
In that hotel i should be transfered. -

This hotel is on Omonia Square about 10 steps from the Omonia Metro Station - right on the square you don't even have to cross a street! This is a perfect spot if you are a tourist and plan to use the metro to get around Athens. If you were planning to walk it, find something near Syntagma, Plaka, or Monestiraki. We stayed here on the last night before leaving and loved it. The Metro will take you right to the airport. There is an exchange off the square and it was the best rate we found in all of Athens. Also, this hotel has King size beds - a rare find in Athens, and it was very comfortable. The bathroom also had a full size tub - another rare find. It was a great value and half the price you would pay for the same quality near Syntagma or Plaka.
