  Stayed in August 2010, woke up at 1 am and had bed bug on my hand. Pulled back bedding and found 3 more small bed bugs in crevices of mattress. My wife and I left in middle of night. When I called manager the next day she said there were no bed bugs in her motel and refused to entertain the fact. 2 of the bugs turned into blood spots when I squished them but the one I pulled off my hand I put in a plastic bed and kept and showed the night clerk when we left motel. I called the hotel chain the next day and filled out official complaint and was told that all econo lodges are privately owned and while the chain can put pressure on them to take action the end result was up to them. Don't stay in this motel.

  A trucker was permitted to park his truck just opposite our room. This would have been all right...except he ran his engine constantly to power his refrigerated truck (I presume). I complained, and went to the office to further complain. Coincidently (?) the truck driver was in the lobby. He argued that the state of NJ was down on truckers, etc.... He then said he would move the truck, which he did. And we slept fine from that point on. Are parking spaces rented to truckers at night at Econolodges?

  Hotel has been purchased by new owner. Great place to stay now. They have replaced the carpet put new curtains in each room and refurbished the bathtubs. Hotel is very nice. They also have micro/fridge in every room. I also noticed that there are security cameras everywhere.
