I stayed at the Comfort Inn Raymond James because it was the closest hotel to Steinbrenner Stadium where I was visiting. It was well worth it. The room was nice and clean with all the amenities I needed (iron, board, hairdryer, fridge, microwave). The front desk manager, Vanessa, was very professional, helpful and polite. The pool area was so well kept; I actually had no intention of going to the pool but I changed my mind after seeing how weel kept it was. And the complimentary breakfast was delicious. There were a lot of older people there, much older than me, but they were regulars who stay at the hotel every year while visiting the stadium, and they were all very friendly and agreed that this hotel was the best bargain for what you get. Also, the driver of the hotel shuttle was such a cool guy, and really attended to the hotel's patron's with care. I would truly recommend anyone who's visiting the West Shore area to see the Yankees or the Buccaneers to stay at this hotel. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Stayed one night prior to cruise, staff was very nice. Airport shuttle was prompt. The hotel does have a large layout, we asked for closer wing by pool. Steakhouse next door is being renovated, so it was closed. Staff recommended Mom's place down the street for lunch, easy walk there, nice family diner. Hotel shuttle available for close trips, mall, walmart, etc. $* per room for shuttle to cruise ship was convenient. Would stay again, but also might look into something closer to downtown to walk around before going on cruise. Not much to walk to around hotel except diner and stadium. Pool looked clean, but was cold. Nice breakfast available.

The hotel was convenient. It was clean. If you are going to a game at the stadium,you don't have to drive. You are a half mile walk to the stadium. You are only 2 miles from the airport. There are plenty of great food/drink places in the vicinity. We only drove 29 miles for the 3 days that we were there.

Very close to the stadium with the steakhouse next door. The air cond/heat unit(lid falling off) makes terrible noise the entire time it is on! Also, the refrigerator makes noise ongoing so there is never any QUIET while sleeping, but everything else(location, breakfast, staff) was great!
