If you love the idea of staying in a hotel room that does not have a working toilet, has dirty bed linens, and a hotel that has rude employees, and offers you absolutely no help, then this is the hotel for you! I checked in at 10:30 pm and at around 10:50 I realized that the toilet would not flush. I was told by the front desk that they were sold out so there were no other rooms to go to. The not-so-helpful front desk clerk arrived to "assess the situation" by flushing the toilet a few times. She literally said "Huh, it seems to flush OK but the water just doesn't go down." I know, rocket scientist, right? She tells me that there is no night maintenance man. Another guy shows up at 11:10 and pretty much says the same thing. He leaves telling me that he'll see if he can figure something out. At 11:30 (now 40 minutes into this) I call the front desk to tell them I'll just deal with it and would like a new room the next day. I'm told them that I would have to take all my belongings with me that day and they'd give me another room later. I called to ask for a refund and was told that only the day manager could approve that. I'd have to wait until the next day. Having had enough I decide to go to sleep. I pull the covers down and Surprise! the sheets are dirty. Now it's 12:00 am! and I need new sheets. I had to go to the front desk to get my own sheet because he was busy! Then he can't get into the linen closet so I had to actually sleep on the dirty sheets! Incredible!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room with double beds was very comfortable and clean with amenities of fridge, hairdryer, coffee maker... and the free breakfast was also very good. I especially appreciated having fresh fruit -oranges, apples and bananas, offered. Although this hotel was a bit away from the downtown area, it was more economical than some other centrally located places that were not as nice looking.

I was extremely disappointed that the pool heater was STILL broken! A pool is the biggest thing for me since my son loves to swim. The elevator smelled gross as well as the hallways. Luckily the room didn't stink. The breakfast was fine for us. The breakfast attendant was extremely pleasant. I would probably stay again if they ever fixed the pool, but judging from the standard responses from the staff and the fact that it hasn't been fixed in 11 months make me think it won't get fixed. I'll spend more money for a decent pool.

Awesome experience. Everyone on the staff was extremely nice, and very helpful. Probably one of the best hotel experience's of my life. Hot breakfast was great in the morning and nothing ever ran out. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Just an all around great time.

I recently was in Durango for business. I was there for 6 days. One of the key features I look at in a hotel is that they have internet access. The ""wireless"" internet access at this hotel was absolutely terrible. I could get connected to the wireless no problem. Signal in my room was fair to good. What did not work was the constant outage. I spent one day over two phone sessions darn near 2 hours with GlobalSuite, the internet provider, trying to resolve the issue. The would put me on hold, come back and tell me they ran some maintenance on the connections and it should be ok. 5 to 10 minutes later same issue as before, constant packet loss and disconnects. I know it was not my laptop as I would use the wireless at a customer site all day and have no issues at all. I checked the computer in the lobby, which was wired, and it had no issues either. The blatant disregard for a customers request to fix what was broken will keep me from coming back to this hotel. When I mentioned it to the people at the front desk they said they were not having any issues. Of course not, all those computers were using a wired connection. Overall the rooms were clean, beds comfortable, cable reception on the TV was very clear and the free breakfast, while the same every morning, was good. Jerry - Colorado, USA
