This hotel is cheap and the staff is friendly. We have stayed there several times over the years because of these reasons. However, it is sad to see the place go a little more downhill each time we come. The parking lot desperately needs to be resurfaced. The rooms have seen better days. Our shower had only a trickle of hot water and the water pressure was low even with cold running. There always seems to be evidence of ongoing construction, but I have not noticed any real changes yet. The breakfast continues to become more limited and this time consisted of only white bread (some of it moldy), one type of cereal (similar to Cheerios), apple juice, milk, coffee, and tea. Of course, it is the offseason. I hope to someday go back and see real improvements at this place, but so far it continues to decline. It may be appropriate for you if you are looking for a cheap place to stay but be prepared for meager accommodations.

First, the road into the hotel is full of HUGE potholes, sure to mangle your vehicle! The manager when we checked in was very friendly. The room was good size, and had a refrigerator and microwave. But, the bathroom had no counter to lay out your articles. The tub was dangerously slippery. The shower head fell out of the wall one day! The 2 beds were awful. One was rock hard. The other was lopsided. The AC did not work well in our room. The room was filthy -- there was food and other kids toys at the base of the beds -- guess housekeeping didnt want to stoop down to pick those up. The maids left us 2 old dinghy towels for the 4 of us, and I had to ask for more daily. They left us with only 1 roll of toilet paper daily. The breakfast was a joke! The first day, the coffee was barely warm. There was a bowl of oranges, a bin of whole wheat bread for toast, but no butter. There were 2 kinds of cereal, and a half jug of 2% milk. There was also hot chocolate and packets of grits -- but no hot water. Day 2 -- there was a half tub oranges. Heels of the whole wheat bread. No butter. 1/8 jug of the milk, and most of it was a frozen ice mass. Day 3 -- A new tub of white bread, and a bowl of butter spread; and this time an 1/8 jug of whole milk. I think they brought the food from somebody's home kitchen! The desk clerks also messed up our account. They entered someone elses credit card/address into our account! Then they couldnt figure it out!

Older motel in process of renovation, but still looks bad from outside. Some rooms have been updated and, in general, are acceptable for the price. The bathroom was very small, and could present a problem for a large person. Little choice for the continental breakfast (same every day - and little choice). But, given there are few choices in Los Alamos, this motel serves its prupose if you do not care about external appearances.

Prior to our stay, this hotel messed-up our reservation details twice. During our week-long stay (we should have left, but were limited in choices) the A/C was broken the whole time, the water main broke and the first bed was horrible.
