Front desk staff was very accommodating. Our room wasn't ready at check in so they very easily and quickly switched us to another room. As others have said, there were stains on the carpet, but none were bad/gross enough to cause us to move. Beds were comfortable and pull-out sofa provided extra sleeping space. On-site laundry service was convenient. Extra sheets/pillows were available at the front desk. Continental breakfast was great. Cannot comment on housekeeping because we were only there one night.

We stayed here for a short vacation and were very pleased overall. The hotel is in a great location. It is an older hotel, but is clean. The staff was friendly and breakfast was filling. Would stay here again based on the location and cost.

Minutes from lovely Isle of Palms Beach, right across the street from a serious shopping center, and close enough to downtown Charleston that even the drive over the Arthur Ravenal bridge is worth it! However, the hotel itself is another story. Carpeting in the rooms and in the halls were badly stained, and even worn to the point of baldness in some spots. Duvets on the beds were lumpy - at first I thought it was just how it was folded, until I realized the cover was folded to 'mask' the lump (which it did not). Door hangers promoted reusing towels, with which my family had no problem. However, despite hanging the sign on the door, the maid took our towels anyway. Internet access was down until the third day of our stay - despite the attendant being aware of the problem when we arrived. Not only could I not access the wireless internet service, but the business center was down, as well. We were additionally informed that the kitchen equipment was broken on the second day, so there was no hot breakfast the following morning. This is simply not the level of quality that I am used to receiving when I stay at Comfort Suites (which I do often when I travel).

This hotel has a great central location. It was only a few minutes to the USS Yorktown, downtown Charleston, public access to the beach, and even to the outlets. You can tell the hotel is a little older due to the normal wear and tear, but we didn't spend much time in our room so this made no difference to us. The full breakfast was excellent! They had pretty much everything. There was a nice mall with quite a few places to eat within walking distance and also across the street.
