This was our 3rd trip to the Caymans but our first stay at the Comfort Suites. This is a very nice place to stay--especially for families. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean and the location is great. Although it isn't a beach front property, the beach is a short 30 second walk. The pool is also nice--but shaded by coconut palms--which was good b/c it allowed us to get out of the sun at the peak of the day but still be in the water. There is great snorkeling right off the beach on the artificial and natural reefs. Water sports are available at the Marriott next door (but don't use their beach chairs--you can get them from the Comfort Suites). There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and you can walk to downtown Georgetown in about 15-20 minutes--but it is a couple miles. You can also get a bus to go downtown or anywhere else. Here is a tip--the rooms come with a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, silverware (at least ours did)--go to the grocery store (Foster's or Kirk are about the same distance either to the left or right) and buy water, drinks, etc. a lot cheaper than the hotel. We also got food for the kid and ourselves and after a long day of swimming and snorkeling it was great to just eat in the room and not worry about the hassle of a restaurant. The Kirk has great pre-made food from paprika shrimp to jerk chicken with some good sides in the deli and it is all cheaper than going out! Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Grand Cayman!

Stayed here with our 2 grown kids in March 2010. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Staff very helpful Good suggestions for dining and recreation. Restaurant was excellent, and the bar was inviting. Just steps from the ocean. The pool and whirlpool were clean. Great value. I would go back in a minute!

I have a family of 4 (2 small children) and we stayed in a Queen deluxe suite room (all one room, no separate bedroom). The room is small for four people. There is a pull out couch, and the kids slept together in that. The room has a fridge, microwave, sink and place settings for 4, but that's it. For some reason, I thought that the room would have stove. I think it's difficult to figure out on-line which rooms have what amenities, so if you really need more, you're going to need to upgrade to one of the 1-bedroom suites. The room was clean and the bedding was updated. The room did not have a view of anything but the airconditioning units, but I feel that I was not misled here. This hotel is cheap compared to others. The breakfasts were adequate (although the same every day). The only "hot" items are the waffles you make, or if you toast something. I was OK with this, but my husband likes to have a few hot choices. The pool was clean and nice and the kids loved it. It was nice to have it surrounded by buildings because we needed shelter from the sun in the afternoon. The beach is a VERY short walk past the pool and very beautiful. There is some nice snorkeling right off shore, and the water is sandy for the kids close to shore. We didn't have a problem finding at least two chairs for us to use. We rented a car and drove to many different beaches every day. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and either lunch or dinner. Great location.
