Beautiful lobby and pool. The rooms were clean, and the staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Beware, the 2-bed rooms have double beds, not queen sized beds. Our room had metal pieces hanging out from the side of the bed. I mentioned it to the front office, and pretty much got the old shoulder-shrug from the clerk on duty. The clerk said that she would contact maintenance, but did not. Later that night I cut my leg open on the bed frame and complained a little more insistently to the front desk. This time they were very responsive and fixed the problem right away. The hotel had something wrong with the main air conditioning (we stayed in July), so they had rental cooling units in the lobby to help out. Our in-room air conditioner started dripping water from the ceiling just after midnight, which prompted another call to the front desk. Ice machine on the second floor was inoperable. Had I payed full price for this room I would have been exceedingly disappointed.

The lobby was very nice. Front desk was good. Parking was very limited. The people walking by my room sounded as if they were in the room, as was activity in my bathroom. Mattresses were old or worn out.

Wasn't sure what to expect looking at the other reviews but was pleasantly surprised! This hotel had just finished a renovation and it is simply beautiful! Very comfortable, food was great and the service was top notch. I would definitely stay here again--very much worth every penny we paid! Located near everything we needed and easy access to the interstate. The beds...were the most comfortable we've ever slept in.

Our family doesn't get away from home very often. We generally stay at an Express-type hotel and thought we would splurge. Surprisingly, the rates were very fair and even though we paid a little more (than typical), we were very impressed! The service was outstanding....and the beds were so incredibly comfortable. We ate the breakfast buffet in the restaurant and were also pleased to find out that our young kids ate free! Everyone was so very nice, we felt very much "at home". The kids loved the pool! It is located off of the lobby and a beautiful first impression when you walk in the front door. We would not hesitate to come back and stay at the Crowne Plaza Madison---Highly recommended!
