  Valet service was great but room was too hot and would not cool off. hallway was also to hot and the ice machines on several floors didn't work. told ...

  Valet service was great but room was too hot and would not cool off. Hallway was also to hot and the ice machines on several floors didn't work. Told staff but no one seemed to care. The door didn't close properly and didn't seal real well either. Nice view from room was about all that was great about this hotel.

  This mid-rise older hotel on the Riverfront has smallish rooms and non-updated baths. But it is still nice, clean, and has a very nice Ruth's Chris restaurant directly on the riverfront walkway, which seems to be popular. The room rates are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. This section of Jacksonville (to an outsider) seems a bit lonely, but the restaurant crowd brought it to life as did the lighted bridges over the river at night. The riverfront walk is interesting, with some exhibits along the way to educate and entertain.

  I stayed here this past weekend with my husband and the hotel was great! We had a beautiful river view and a walk out balcony. It is worth the extra $20 for the view of the river and the skyline at night! The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Ruth's Chris and went for an evening stroll on the Riverwalk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Jacksonville for leisure or business!
