Stay far away from the JFK Plaza hotel. The hotel or room in no way resembles the photos on the web site. Just a few minutes drive to the airport and you will wait 30 mins - to an hour to be picked up by their courtesy bus. Ha! Courtesy - that's a joke. Most of the drivers, not all, don't even acknowledge you, you load your own baggage and when they can spare a word or two while chatting on their cell phones - they are surly and indifferent, and drive like maniacs. The bus is falling apart as is the hotel. We were there just after the blizzard and there was no heat in our room, TV was fuzzy, Internet weak, and when we asked for a cab to the airport were charged $* This hotel is hanging by a thread. When we went to check out were told that they did not give a final bill or receipt! Watch yourself - it is the pits! We called Travel Agency to get some help, but were given none!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Recently stayed for an overnight trip and had a wonderful experience. Received an awesome discount through my travel guide and the stay was definitely worth the money. The staff was great and understanding to my long travel needs. Room service was nice and the hotel was very clean. Would stay again if in the area.

I stayed at this hotel when it first opened, in the Spring. I don't think they were ready back then...My room only had one towel, the internet wasn't working, the restaurant was only opened for breakfast. The one good thing was that the hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice! I recently stayed because I heard that they had improved and the rate was in my budget. It is true..this hotel has improved; my room was stocked with towels, there was internet which was free, the restaurant was opened for dinner and room service..the food was very good and very reasonable. They also have a Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel is still very very clean and the staff is so friendly. The price is even better now! I have extra money for my holiday shopping in new york city. WELL WORTH IT...NOW!!~!!

Your better off pitching a tent in the park across the street than staying here... I checked in with no problem.. the location was good and the place looked like it was nice.. SIKE... when I got to my room i found it to be rather small, but decided not to make a fuss.. i put my bags down and walked into the bathromm.. where i discovered the sink was not working.. no water.. i picked up the phone to call the front desk... it did not work.. I decided to walk back to the lobby to report the problem, but 1st i would turn on the heat.. it did not work.. Reported problems to the desk (they appologized and moved me to another room) I walked into that room and wasd pleased that it was larger.. But, again.. no heat, no phone and the door lock was not fuctioning... the bed was unmade and the room smeeled like mold???.. report problem again and was mkoved to another crappy smelly non functioning room... The only good thing is that i paid in cash and got my money back with no problem...

07/18/2010Had prebooked and paid for a double room for 1 adult and 2 kids, arrived late at night and gave us single room where ac was broken. after 3 hours ...
Had prebooked and paid for a double room for 1 adult and 2 kids, arrived late at night and gave us single room where ac was broken. after 3 hours of terrible service and waiting around got a very bad room. after an international flight with 2 young kids, they didn't care that we had no room at 1:30am. Never stay there!
