Clayton is a very attractive and pleasant place. Hotel was centrally located for restaurants and public transit. Room was comfortable, despite not spending much time there. Basically just slept there. The rest of the time I was touring around the area. Housekeeping was good. However sheets did fit properly and it rolled up during the night. Needless to say One of the joys of vacationing is getting a long, sound, deep night of sleep. Another complaint is that the swimming pool water was not clear and visibly dirty.

Stayed 2-20-09 to 2-22-09 The bed is awesome. The room was small but clean. I had read reviews about how nasty the carpet was, the carpet is now hardwood floors. It was crowded in the room exp. when we were staying a whole weekend. The staff was ok, but we did not need much. Our view was the parking gargage. The bar makes good drinks and the food was pretty good. Not that we watch alot of TV but (we are not from MO) no guide on the TV and not many stations. I am not against staying again but would try something else.

Went there for our honeymoon. It is a Crowne Plaze, it is supposed to be nice right? Wrong. Most of the halls stink like old cigarettes, and the non smoking floor just plain stinks. They were renovating the rooms around our suite and didn't bother telling us when we checked in so we were waking up to the sound of jackhammers at 7am. The room was outdated and dingy. The only new looking item was the tv and the bed. We went to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. Wish we hadn't. It wasn't busy at all and it took them 10 minutes to seat us, the tables around ours were dirty, the food was repulsive. We told the manager and he said it was on the house. It should have been, we didn't even eat it. The only bright spot for the hotel is that the beds are extremely comfortable. The pool looks nice but is full of bugs. The free game room is a great idea, except most of the games don't work. Definately not worth the money.

The check in time was 3:00. One of the two rooms was not ready until after 4:00. The pool was much smaller than hotel pictures implied. There was a charge for parking which was not included in any of the hotel's publicity. The computers were down when we checked out. We only ate breakfast at the hotel. The food was good and the staff was friendly; however, the orders were not always accurate. The rooms themselves were comfortable, but were at opposite ends of the hotel from each other. We plan to visit St. Louis again in the future, but we will be looking for a different hotel.

Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my life. Room small but clean. Evening staff not very helpful but morning was better. Conference room was like a meat locker. Over all, pleasant stay. Great location.
