We stayed here for 4 nights and it was lovely. Rooms we're very nice. I was surprised at how nice they were. It was more like being in a home then a hotel. Everything worked and the staff was friendly. It's right on the strip and close to all the shops and attractions. We will be staying again!

This hotel was in a great location with food and entertainment within walking distance. This was a great hotel for the money we paid per night. We requested a "no-smoking" room but, they put us in a "smoking" room- but we didn't complain because the room was very large and didn't think the others would be this size if they moved us. The front desk girl was nice and helpful when we had questions. Free breakfast was OK- we just grabbed a pastry with OJ on most mornings. The parking was great- we parked just outside our room.

For the price and our needs, this place was OK. It's an easy walk to the tram which takes you to Ober Gatlinburg and to the south end of downtown. The heat worked. Shower was good. Beds appeared to be clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you're picky, stay away. The whole place has a run-down feel - like a cheap Spring Break hotel for college kids, this place seems to attract bus tours and youth groups. Some idiot bus driver left his rig idling loudly for about 2 hours in the parking lot Monday morning. Since the rooms open to the outside, you can hear trucks and buses from inside the rooms. There was a large hole in the wall next to one of our beds. The tub/shower and toilet half of the bathroom was tiny; the vanity is on the opposite side of the room door. It looked like someone had exploded a two-liter bottle of cola all over the back of the room door - there were little dried-up droplets of cola-like stuff all around the entry area. Our phone did not work. And, while we could connect to the wi-fi LAN, we could not actually connect to the Internet through it. At some point during our two-night stay, someone broke the lock out of the Coke machine door near our room and highjacked the drinks. When we went to our car the next morning, there was the unmistakable smell of "herbal cigarettes" POURING out of the room below us as if both Cheech AND Chong had been our neighbors for the night. Given the competition in the area, I'm sure we could have gotten a comparable rate on a much nicer place. All in all, this would be a great location for a nice motel.

Don't stay here if you're picky. Price seemed right and location was great for our purpose but it's more like a youth hostel than hotel. Staff was friendly enough. Reservation and check-in was smooth. TVs were nice and there was a coffee maker and a fridge. Shower was pretty decent - probably the best thing about the whole room. Overall, though, room was dumpy. Big hole in wall. Looked like a bottle of cola had exploded all over the inside of the room door at one time and never been cleaned up. Bathroom was tiny. Phone didn't work, so wake-up call never came and "free local calls" weren't really such a fabulous amenity. Travel agency description suggested that every room had a hair dryer, but that didn't turn out to be true. We managed to connect to the hotel wi-fi LAN, but we could not actually connect to the Internet from our room. Breakfast was marginal; they were out of orange juice, but I've had worse. This hotel seems to attract tour buses and it would be very nice if the hotel would discourage bus drivers from warming up their buses in the mornings for no apparent reason; the sound of diesel engines could be heard very plainly in our room for hours, but the bus never moved - just sat there running. And, after we discovered a thoroughly hi-jacked drink machine in our wing and smelled the distinct aroma of "herbal" cigarettes coming from the room below us, we had some serious questions about the clientele in general. I would stay again, but only if I got the room for about half what I paid this time. Otherwise, there are plenty of other hotels in the area; the competition means you can probably negotiate a much nicer room.
