First the address given was incorrect so our GPS sent us to no man's land near the highway. Secondly, there was rubbish left outside near our 1st floor entrance, the door stuck when opening and looking at the doorjamb it looked as though it had been kicked in and fixed. The room itself was fine and the breakfast was good. The pool was not accurately pictured in the ad--much smaller. A bargain, but quality less than hoped for.

Stayed here last summer and would not recommend it. It is located right off the freeway in a bad part of town. Panhandlers walking over to me as I was getting in my car, asking for money. There are railroad tracks located right behind the hotel and trains passing through all night long - kept me awake. Hotel manager was very rude to me when a lady of her nationality cut in front of me in the breakfast line in the morning. Also, I don't know how they can advertise "Riverwalk" in their name and imply the hotel is located next to the Riverwalk. It is about two miles away. There are much better choices.

If you are traveling alone or as a couple, this would probably be an okay spot if you are on a budget, but I wouldn't stay here if you have little ones. The area is not the best and the rooms are kind of scary. When we first walked in our room their were moths buzzing around the light on the wall like some bad horror movie. There were several locks on the door and warnings about not letting anyone in the room. The coffee maker was located in the bathroom next to the toilet, I guess that's okay if you want to watch your coffee brew while you do your morning buisness. The price was good, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was okay...but those rooms will give you nightmares.

This is a dirty nasty hotel. I have a room with two doubles, and the housekeeping staff hadn't even bothered to make the bed. The rooms haven't been updated in years. The wireless internet drops out regularly. There are no power outlets. Your GPS will not be able to find this place. There is a train track that runs ALL night next to the hotel. The tub has mold in it. A LOT of mold. I'm afraid to take a shower in it. I regularly hike and backpack, I have slept in some pretty rough environments, so the fact that I find this place disgusting shows how bad it is. I wish I had a tent, I would sleep in the parking lot. It's probably cleaner They couldn't pay me to stay in this hotel again. That they even sell for this hotel makes me lose respect for their service. I realize it's cheap. It is NOT a good deal. Look at the rating. Oh, and it isn't really close to downtown or river walk. And, if you are an employer, booking this hotel for your employee. Seriously, be a professional and put them in a real hotel. I'll be glad to leave Saturday.

Not bad for the price, though my wife begs to differ. She claims to fear for her life. I slept like a baby. She wouldn't let me go for a Wendy's frosty because of the "shady" characters hangin' with their peeps outside that kept her up all night. Our one year old also slept rather well. Smelled like disinfectant. But seriously, poor people got poor ways, and it was a decent $* to spend for a couple of hours of sleep. The cleaning staff even let me know that we had forgotten our pillows, which was very nice of them. Easy check-in, easy check-out, good continental breakfast.
