My family and I took a spur of the moment trip to Iowa City and had no other choice but to stay at this hotel because all other hotels were completely booked due to an Iowa football game. Told the staff person I spoke to on the phone that morning it would be a total of 4 adults and 2 children in the room. They assured me that with 2 full size beds and a full size sleeper sofa, there would be plenty of room. We ended up having to sleep 3 people in each of the full size beds because in the middle of the night the sleeper sofa collapsed because the metal piece that held the foot of the bed up and connected to the frame was coming apart. When it collapsed it scared my 7 year old niece! And, our beds had large indentations in the middle of the mattress making it very uncomfortable. Our heater blew cold air all night (was 57 degrees outside that night) AND there was a dead fly smashed on the wall by the bathroom door. When I approached the front desk about all of this, the lady said she was only authorized to give a $* discount and I'd have to call the Manager later that day to see what he could do. When I called and spoke to him, he said they inspected the room - the sofa was fine, the heater was blowing very hot air, and no dead fly on the wall. But, out of generosity, he gave me an additional $* discount! Basically said I made up all of my complaints. When I told him I would never stay again and neither would anyone I know, he said, and I quote..."Okay. Have a good day."

If your looking to stay here make sure you ask for second floor the first floor where i stayed was very damp with mold growing in the showers and the entrances leading to shower if i had little kids i would have not stayed. The place is not very clean the carpets turned my socks black i slept fully clothed because everything felt damp. The owner was nice but i dont think hes ever stayed there because he seemed to care. There was a sign pardon our dust under construction yet nothing was going on while i was there. i would check your room before checking in.

Even though Days Inn in Coralville, IA was a two star hotel, we thought the accomodations met our needs. Did it have a pool?...NO, but we did not need one. Did it have a fancy breakfast (continential only)?... No, but we did not need one. We were just looking for a clean quiet place to rest for the night while visiting the local attractions in the area. If you are looking for a place to plop without the bells and whistles, The Days Inn is for you. We even went back for the next night since we were not done with our tour of the Amana Colonies. It was cheap through Travelocity, the desk clerk was very friendly, and even though the hotel was on a major road, we were not disturbed by it. It did offer wi fi and all of the usual toiletries other "fancy" hotels offer without the "fancy" price. Would definately stay again when in the area.

The hotel was cheap. We had two rooms, and were there 9 days. There was an iron in only one room. We had live crickets in our room the entire time. The bathroom fan made a huge racket when the person next door used their bathroom. The room smelled so bad we went to the store and bought some Fabreeze to spray it daily. The second room (for our daughters) was not made up for 7 days in a row, even after complaints to the night manager and the room service staff...i had to complain to the overall manager and demand a refund for the room before they got clean towels and their beds made on day 7. The free in room Wi-Fi did not work the entire time, although we were told daily "they were working on it" but we never saw anyone working on anything in the office where the wireless router was. The beds were comfortable, and the rates were good. But beyond that, very disappointing and I would never go back.

We reserved two rooms, both were clean and updated. There were three fluffy pillows on each bed. The front desk attendant was polite and helpful with directions. My only complaint would be the thin walls. We would definitely stay here again.
