Worst 3 days of my life

If you are looking for a place to throw a wild bachelor party and not be bothered by the hotel staff, here is your place. EVERY night of my stay I had to call the front desk to ask to have a guest in a different room keep it down. From lawn chairs spread out in the hallways, to ice chests full of beer being slammed shut all night. We had to endure children screaming down the halls while their parents got trashed till 2:00 am. At $* a night I thought I would get a decent few days of rest, I was wrong. Every 30 minutes or so after I managed to doze off, I was jolted back to reality by another beer bottle hitting the ground. And no... The hotel staff did not help in any way. They just let it go till everyone was drunk enough to pass out.

Hotel was located 10 minutes from Downtown/River walk. They allowed us to check in early which was nice. It was clean and acceptable, other than one stained pillow and the towels were a little hard on the skin. Still, I sure looked forward to that room after a long day out getting to know San Antonio. The iron included with the room had no water, so we filled it and then it ruined one of my white shirts because it dripped brown water, so careful with that. Room included a refrigerator and a microwave without asking, a first time for us in this price range and came in very useful. The AC was a bit loud but effective in cooling the room within 2 minutes. The free breakfast is basic, you get toasted bread, muffins, pastry cake, orange juice, apple juice, coffee and a make-it-your-self waffle maker. There was only one waffle maker so we had to wait in line every morning to make it, not too long, and hey its free, so why not. There was a popular fast food BBQ restaurant right in front of the Hotel, the quality of the food was pretty good for the price, but their BBQ Ribs and BBQ chicken did not compare well to sit down BBQ restaurants we found at the Riverwalk. However it seemed very popular with local Texans from what we saw and enjoyed paying less $$$ for a meal for two finally. There was a Walmart/Bank of America/ Chase right next door which came in useful as well. The Hotel is okay and priced okay, but for tourists like us, next time I visit San Anotonio, I will dish out the extra $50 bucks for a hotel closer to downtown next time.

We were here for a couple of days for some Hospital visits and to do some Christmas shopping. Our room was big, with nice furniture and had a microwave and refrigerator in it. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice too. The people who work there really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was good, it wasn't a banquet buffet but there was plenty of variety and the coffee was fresh and good.
